The absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I used to rent a home in wolfsville that had a propane tank, I had never lived in home with propane before so the first time I needed to have the tank filled I promptly called the local company first. I thought I would support the little guy, the home town hero and support local jobs. That was a huge mistake. I needed to have the tank filled because it was wintertime and I wanted to insure that if there were any power failures, my tank would have enough propane to power the gas stove and the generator. So I call Thompson, fill out the Nessicary paperwork and clearly state that I would like to be a "will call" account meaning, I will call you if I need it filled again! So weeks go by while I'm waiting for a call and they still haven't filled the tank, according the them they needed to do some special inspection to make sure there were no leaks and I needed to meet them at the property. I call them back because there was an impending storm and I finally get them to commit to a date, again I wait. The day comes I wait all day for a call so I can meet them there and finally at five I call them to see what was going on and they tell me a tech was not going to be able to make it that day because of the impending storm!! Infuriating. So the storm comes and we get buried in snow, but now I have to run electric heat so I can conserve the propane to run the generator in case of a power outage. Snow storm passes roads get plowed, I call them back to get someone out to fill the tank and they finally come. Pull up the truck, pull the line all the way to the tank and they guy yells at me and says "hey come here", so I walk over and he goes "why the hell did you think this tank needed filled?" And proceeds to show me a completely full tank. He called headquarters and apparently they filled it before the storm, did not inspect the lines and did not notify, me at all. My electric bill was $600 more than typical that month due to the use of the heaters. I vowed to never call them to fill the tank again because I was so disappointed. About six months later we decide to move, and about two months after we moved I receive a bill from Thompson for filling the damn tank!! I have stopped in the office three times now and spent multiple hours on the phone explaining to them that the tank was filled without my request after I moved and have been told repeatedly that the balance would be taken off of my account and that I did not need to worry about it. Well today I received a collections letter from another company regarding this issue and I am furious. I will never, ever, ever do business with this horrible company again. Worst service ever. There is a reason why everyone has horror stories to tell about them.
They are always helpful and even when I missed signing up for the low price gas, they helped me out by giving me the lowest price and then signing back up.
